a little keeper
a little stone tied with bracken rope is sitting on stepping stones. he says "please don't follow this path". his name is sekimori-ishi (barrier keeper stone). most of japanese, including me until i saw him and ask my sisiter, don't know what his name is or why he's there...
how nice if we could replace all "don't enter" signs to sekimori-ishi, don't you think? :)
at a tea house in wakayama castle, wakayama, japan.
