scene with aged wood #1
the green sign in the right photo says ” fuji films available here”. don’t know how many people still need a film since i only saw people with a digital camera or a camera phone when i strolled…
left: wakayama, japan right: kurashiki, japan.右の写真の看板、最近の悲しいニュース(ニコンのとか、コニカミノルタのとか)の後なので、とっても寂しげに見えました。
(左)和歌山、須佐神社の敷地内で。 (右)倉敷美観地区にて。
And that is exactly the problem … Fujifilm just announced a 5.000 jobs cuts and shifts in production. Konica-Minolta is out of business, same with Kyocera/Contax. Nikon is on a same path – only F6 left in production. Is there anything to be happy about?
P@l » yes… i didn’t know about fujifilm’s news but konica-minolta, kyocera/contax, nikon and agfa films… so sad…
Yes, I saw the same thing happening in O’ahu. I did see a few disposable cameras which were being used on the beaches, but mostly digital.
jamie » so sad… hope some of film companies survive…
